Agreement

By using Insulin Directions, the user agrees to these terms. A user who does not agree should not use the app.

Purpose of the app

Insulin Directions organizes information that a user enters from a prescription label, licensed pharmacist, licensed prescriber, or written care plan. It is not a medical device claim, prescribing service, clinical decision-support service, or substitute for professional judgment.

No medical advice

The user is responsible for matching the brand, strength, device, units, timing, and written directions to the current prescription. Questions or mismatches must be referred to the pharmacist or prescriber before insulin is taken.

Estimates and personal records

Schedule totals and supply estimates are mathematical summaries of user-entered information. Estimates may not account for priming, waste, damaged doses, package quantity, discard dates, missed doses, or treatment changes.

Marking an item in the dose log is a personal record only. It does not confirm that insulin was administered or that a dose was safe or correct.

Emergencies

The app must not be used as an emergency service. Users should follow the patient's emergency plan and contact local emergency services for urgent symptoms or suspected overdose.

Product information

Insulin products, labels, strengths, devices, and availability can change. Users must rely on the current prescription label and licensed care team. Brand names belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify products selected by the user.

Availability and changes

The developer may update, change, suspend, or discontinue the app. These terms may be updated when the app or applicable requirements change.
